Gerry from the TT tour in Luray is in the process of rebuilding of my
express bed (finally) and he's at a stopping point because he need a missing
measurement and I was wondering if that guy near you still had the TT
express bed that you and I went to see?  If so, and you were going down that
way, do you think you could pull a measurement off it for me?   We need to
know the distance from the front of the bed to the rear side of the middle
cross member (see the attached photo). The location of this cross member is
critical in order to ensure that it doesn't fall over top of the hump on the
rear frame cross member preventing the bed from sitting on the frame
correctly. I've also attached a couple of pictures of the progress to date
just you can get an idea on how much had to rebuild.

Once again club member, Gerry Gristwold, has worked his magic and in record
time (like overnight) has rebuild my express bed for the second time
remaking the side and cross members to a width of 4".  I think it now
closely matches the original dimension that Eric Keenan provided me (thanks
Eric) from his unmolested express bed and looks to more proportional.  I
need to make a trip to the sand blasters, and with a little bodywork and
paint she'll be as good as new.
