"In Progress Pictures"

The Ford Ton Truck Club (FTTC), a MTFCI chapter, was the sponsor for the MTFCI Youth College Fund Model T restoration project that was completed in October 2006. The project is the restoration of a 1922 Model T Ton Truck, donated by Bob and Cathy Prouse of Federalsburg, MD. The Ford Ton Truck Club took possession of the truck in September 2004 and began disassembly in preparation for repair and restoration. The major subassemblies (frame, rear end, front end, body, etc) divided up among several FTTC members that volunteered to restore a particular sub- assembly. The project took about a year to complete and sub-assemblies have been restored and reassembled.   The success of this project has been directly attributed to the generous contributions for parts and money from both MTFCI members and various Model T parts suppliers.  Many of the professional re-builders and part suppliers stepped up to the plate and donated many parts and subcomponents with items such as: Mag coil plate, generator, starter, engine, transmission, respoked wheels, etc. Click on the below link to see the list of commercial provider.

As you can see from the below pictures, the years were not kind to this truck and it took an aggressive effort to get this baby back on the road.  The truck was raffle off on 12 October 2007 and was won by a guy in Massachusetts.

The below pictures below represent the restoration project from beginning to present.  Last update was 2-1-07
